UsersTypically there will be many users of a data system within a laboratory. The users can be principle investigators, research scientists, laboratory technicians, data analysts and collaborators. Usually only parts of the system need be accessible to a user for both inputting and accessing data, while for others they will need to have complete access to all information. In general access privileges are linked to their function in the laboratory. This component of the administrator will allow for adding users with unique IDs, their contact information, their function and access privileges. A convention for IDs was used in all applications. Each ID begins with Bx followed by a letter 'U" for user, 'C' for contact, 'P' for project or 'S' for sample. Users Data Entry FormThe following is a screen capture of a fully functioning Web application for entering users into the system.
